Like any new projects these days the financing of the solar system could be either done by CAPEX or OPEX mechanisms. In CAPEX model the plant is owned by the end client and the depreciation benefits are accrued by him. But in case of Solar the OPEX model makes a lot of sense given the third party financer can finance the project and earn the money by selling power to the end client at a discounted rate than utilities.
